Here to listen, not fix.

My approach to being a grief companion is ever-evolving. Drawing from my experiences hosting grief salons, supporting individuals one-on-one, my own grief and mourning, creating resources, and incorporating learnings from my end-of-life doula and grief literacy trainings, my goal is not to fix you. I am here to provide a space for you to process, be with, metabolize*, and feel your grief with someone there alongside you.

Using writing prompts, reflection, silence, and compassionate listening, these sessions are designed to give you room to mourn. I am open to working with you to determine what that looks like and support what you need, whether or not that comes from me.

With the commodification and co-option of witchcraft and folk magic, it is important to share that central to my work is a divestment from whyte supremacy culture and specific to this work, cultural appropriation. I do not lead meditations or incorporate crystals, herbs, or other forms of healing that do not feel authentic or appropriate to my lived and embodied experience. However, I am happy to refer you to individuals who I know do this work in appropriate and authentic ways.

If you identify as a Person of the Global Majority and would like a referral for a grief companion who shares your identity, please let me know and I’m happy to help you find someone at no charge to you.

*This term was taught to me from the amazing teachers at Being Here, Human.

Toni is a talented facilitator! The questions were deep, the container was lovingly curated, the mix of writing time and talking time was lovely. I felt more open and more connected and grounded and very grateful too. Thank you thank you thank you
